Dance - Seated Modern Dance
This modern dance class will focus on moving with ease with very low impact in a chair. You want to get moving and experiencing the physical and cognitive benefits that go along with dance movement activity. Designed for adult dancers ages 16-100, all abilities and perhaps with mobility concerns. Seated Modern Dance covers the basics of a modern dance class from a seated position. Students will strengthen their centers, increase their range of motion, articulate joints through dance-based warm ups and develop their coordination through full body combinations. Each week, we will explore time, space, design, effort and different fundamentals of modern dance will be covered to help the student discover new methods of movement.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and you will be dancing barefoot or in socks.
