Printmaking - Intro to Linoleum Block Print in Color
Deep dive into traditional relief printmaking technique to create dynamic colorful prints! This is a great class for those new to block printmaking. We will cover linoleum carving, and tool use as well as inking and printing on presses. Additionally there will be lots of emphasis on color use in this class. Participants will learn how to mix and blend oil based inks in order to create bold, colorful work. Participants will each create an edition of 6-8 polished prints. Students provide materials, supply list prints on receipt. This class qualifies students for a print studio membership. 6 sessions. Instructor: Maria Frati.

- Legion or Arnhem Printmaking papers, no larger than 11x14
- Unmounted battleship gray linoleum, no larger than 11x14 (2-4 pieces)
- Speedball Water-Soluble Block Printing Ink Starter Set
