Natural Science Camp - AWNPSCIENCECAMP

Explore Wilkerson Nature Preserve with a balance of indoor and outdoor activities. Learn about the preserve’s habitats and wildlife by participating in a variety of hands-on labs and field experiences. Become a citizen scientist as we observe and collect data about the natural world around us. Participants should bring a lunch and two snacks each day and arrive wearing closed-toed shoes. Program hours are 9am-4:30pm.

Teen Specialty Camp - BRCCTSC

Teens looking for something great to do the last week of summer will enjoy this daily themed specialty camp designed with teens in mind. Each day will have a different focus to help you prepare for the next school year and increase your personal best. Daily activities will include, but not limited to Ninja Challenge and Fitness, Everything Water and Water Safety Skills, Home Alone-Safety & Food, Job Readiness, All Around Sports, and Future Leaders. Structured program hours are from 9a-4p. Early drop-off starts at 8:00am and participants must be picked up by 5:30pm. Campers should bring a re-fillable water bottle, two snacks, and a lunch daily.

RC AERONAUTICS 1 - DIAERONAUTICS1

Attention campers here’s your chance to build and fly your very own remote-controlled airplane! If you're interested in airplanes, electronics, and building, then say no more! Learn how to construct an aircraft out of some household materials, hot glue, wires, and sophisticated electronics. Safely prepare for takeoff using a fun, software-based RC flight simulator. Then later, take control of your own newly constructed aircraft using a transmitter you programmed to get flying outside and above the trees. Gain the necessary entry level skills to fly, repair, and rebuild. With staff supervision, campers will be using hot glue guns and sharp knives to construct their aircraft. And at the end, campers will take home what they've built…..or crashed. Do you have the right stuff?

Artist Studio Summer Camp - PUARTEENARTISTSTUDIO3

The Artist Studio is an art-based day camp that provides pre-teens and teens (ages 11-16) with the opportunity for skill-building and creative exploration within a professional Art studio setting. Camp workshops are
designed and taught by professional teaching artists. With access to the Pullen Arts Center studios, studio equipment, and tools pre-teens and teens can explore and experiment with new ways of artmaking. During each
weekly session, campers will take art-related field trips and end each day with open studio time where they will be able to work on individual projects or participate in fun, collaborative art-making activities. The Artist Studio
summer camp will culminate in a student exhibition. Program hours are 9:30am to 4:30pm. Early drop-off will begin at 9:00am. Participants must be picked up by 5:00pm. Participants should bring a lunch, two snacks, and a

Teens Behind The Scenes With Parks and Facilities - RCCCBEHINDTHESCENE

Does your teen love working with their hands, fixing things and being active? What makes this camp so unique is that your teen will learn about the parks and facility trades. Teens will be guided by City of Raleigh professionals in our Parks and Engineering Services department through several age-appropriate projects in our parks and facilities to give them a chance to see how rewarding and fulfilling a trade career field can be. Participants may also enjoy recreation activities and field trips. Program hours are 9am-4pm. Early drop off is available from 8:30am and all campers must be picked up by 5pm. Junior Chef - Farm to Table Teen - RCCCJRCHEFTEEN

Now we're cooking! Participants will learn the process and life cycle of what farm to table means and receive hands on experience of each step in the process. Learn to grow your own food garden with Raleigh's own Shy of Shy's Fresh Eats. Participants will learn how vegetables and other foods are grown on a farm, to how a chef picks their ingredients. Participants will be preparing various meals with one of North Carolina's first ever and most popular Entertainment-Food Truck operator "Cheff" Owner of The Smoke N Jerk. Early drop off is available from 8:30am and all campers must be picked up by 5pm. Participants should plan bring a lunch and two snacks each day. Camp Exploration - SREXPLOREDAY

Camp Exploration is designed for participants who can engage appropriately in a small group setting (approximately 8 participants with 2 staff). Participants are expected to follow basic rules of safety and interaction, have independence with toileting, feeding and personal care needs, and easily understand and follow directions within their small group.

Program hours are 9:00am-4:00pm. Early drop off is available starting at 8:00am and all participants must be picked up by 5:00pm. Supervised participant-choice activities will be provided for arrival and dismissal hours. Camp fees will be prorated to $120 for the week of June 17-June 21 & July 1-July 5. Activities include indoor and outdoor group games, nature activities, music and movement, arts and crafts, specialists and field trips.

Under normal camp guidelines and operations, the following are examples of how staff and participants will engage at camp.

Behavior: staff will provide positive behavior support, redirection, preferred activities, and use behavior support strategies provided by families. Participants are expected to exhibit appropriate camp behavior, without presenting a safety concern to themselves, other participants or staff. Unsafe behaviors may include but are not limited to: biting, hitting, kicking, pinching, running, spitting, etc.

Feeding: staff will provide verbal and visual prompting, reminders, assist with placement of food, break up food into small pieces, open containers for the participant. Participants should be able to physically feed themselves.

Participation: staff will engage participants through multiple means of instruction, sensory engagement, supported transitions, and program modifications. Participants are expected to stay with their group, follow given/modeled direction, and demonstrate engagement during camp activities, during transitions, and in the community on field trips.

Toileting & Personal Care: staff will provide verbal and visual prompting, assist participant with pull-up/diaper and/or clothing. Participants should be able to clean/wipe themselves with minimal assistance from staff.

Participants needing more support for behavior, feeding, mobility, participation or personal care & toileting must provide their own personal assistant. The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department Personal Assistant Policy requires paperwork to be submitted, and signed, from both the service provider and the parent/guardian of the participant for approval. These forms must be submitted no less than 2 weeks prior to the Personal Assistant attending camp. Forms not submitted by the appropriate deadline will not be processed in time and the Personal Assistant may not be authorized to attend camp. Any participant registering with a Personal Assistant session should contact the SRIS Office at 919-996-2147.

This is your all-access pass to the sports management industry with behind-the-scenes tours of various sports complexes around the area. Past tours have included local college facilities and stadiums, PNC Arena, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Nascar Hall of Fame, and Bank of America Stadium. Friendly sports competitions will also take place throughout the week. Participants should bring a lunch and two snacks each day.
